Abstract Diversity climate—shared employee perceptions of the extent to which an organization is inclusive and fair—is increasing interest public administration scholars . While research has linked diversity climate a range organizational outcomes , less known about how common managerial practices affect This article addresses this gap by examining three such practices: workplace voice centralized decision‐making teamwork Each theoretically expected act upon both inclusion fairness dimensions We test these expectations using regression analysis departmental‐level data collected through surveys four North Carolina organizations The results suggest that enhance while diminishes it in workplaces with mostly white employees Practically speaking imply management techniques benefit also foster positive climates Evidence for Practice Employee fair inclusive, as climate, have been important outcomes.
